• 2006-2008: Visiting Lecturer in Medieval History, Department of History & Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Crete.
• 2007-2008: Visiting Lecturer, Department of History & Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

• 1992 - 1996: Scholarship, Historical Geography Programme, IBR/NHRF.
• 2000 - 2001: Transcription of documents from the Notary registers of the State Archive of Venice, Research project sponsored by the Vikelaia Municipal Library, Herakleion, Crete in collaboration with the University of Ioannina.
• 2001 - 2008: Collaboration with the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies of Venice in the area of publications.
• 2002 - 2004: Assistant of the organizing committee of the International Conference ''The Fourth Crusade and its Consequences'', Academy of Athens.
• 2002: Member of the research team for the cataloguing and classification of the Old Archive of the Hellenic Institute of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Studies of Venice.
• 2005 - 2006:  Member of the research team working on the research project ''Greek Communities and the European World (13th-19th c.). Forms of self-administration, social organization, construction of identities'' (the research was funded by EU project Pythagoras II), Department of History and Archaeology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
• 2007: Member of the research team of the Cultural Foundation of the Piraeus Bank Foundation working on the preparation of the Chios Museum of Mastic.

 
MAIN RESEARCH AREAS OF INTEREST
• 2007: Relations between Byzantium and the West during the Late Byzantine period, and history of Latin-dominated Greece (13th-15th c.).

PARTICIPATION IN CONGRESSES/CONFERENCES, LECTURES
Participation in 14 international conferences in Greece and abroad; participation in workshops; invited lectures at undergraduate seminars at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

PUBLICATIONS
• 13 articles in scientific journals, papers in proceedings of international conferences, collective volumes, and teaching manuals; editing of 2 volumes.
