• 2002-2008: Senior Researcher at the IBR / NHRF.
• 2008 - : Research Director at the Institute for Historical Research, Department for Byzantine Research / NHRF.

MAIN FIELDS OF RESEARCH
• Oppositional tendencies to Byzantine central power (9th-11th centuries).
• Byzantium's relations with the West (6th-11th centuries).
• Byzantine prosopography.

PUBLICATIONS
• 2 monographs, 4 books in collaboration, 1 edited volume and ca. 55 publications in refereed and other scientific journals, collective volumes, conference proceedings, dictionaries and encyclopaedias.
