• 1997 (March-June): Attendance of courses at the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) as a student of the ERASMUS program.
• 1997: Degree from the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete.
• 1998: D.E.A. on Byzantine archaeology from the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne).
• 1999: Special diploma on Museology (Diplome Spécial de Muséologie) from the école du Louvre (Paris).
• 2002: PhD on Byzantine archaeology at the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne).

MAIN PROFESSIONAL DATA
• 1999: Archaeologist (contract of 500 hours) at the 2nd Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities.
• 2003-2005: Curator of the Museum of Traditional Pottery - G. Psaropoulos Family Foundation.
• 2007-2010 : Assistant Researcher, Institute for Byzantine Research (National Hellenic Research Foundation). Main Research Programme: ''Historical Geography of the Greek Region'', participation in the Research Programme 'Byzantium and the World of Slavs and the Balkans'.
2011- : Associate Researcher.

ΜAIN FIELDS OF RESEARCH
• Study of pottery and minor arts of the Byzantine period, material culture of Byzantium, trade contacts of the Byzantine Empire with other regions through the analytical study of pottery. Questions on possible provenance (often using analytical methods) and use of specific wares are also addressed.

OTHER SCIENTIFIC / ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
I. Insternships
• 1998 (February-March): Internship at the Département de Pétrologie (University of Paris VI).
• 1999 (March):Internship at the Musée d'Orsay.
• 2000 (May) και 1999 (May):Internship at the Musée du Louvre, Paris.
• 2000 (November): 1 week internship on Byzantine pottery at the Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l'Homme (Aix-en-Provence).

ΙΙ. Scholarships
• 1997-1998 (academic year):Scholarship of the French Ministry of Education for the preparation of a Masters degree (D.E.A.) at the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne).
• 1999-2002:Three year scholarship from the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, for the preparation of a PhD at the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne).

ΙΙΙ. Teaching Experience
• 1999, 2000 and 2003: two months collaboration (seminar) with the interdisciplinary post-graduate programme 'Byzantine Studies' of the University of Crete.
• 2004-2005: Visiting lecturer (Presidential Decree 407/1980) at the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Crete.
• 2005-2006: Visiting lecturer (Presidential Decree 407/1980) at the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Crete.
• 2005-2006: Visiting lecturer (Presidential Decree 407/1980) at the Department of Mediterranean Studies, University of the Aegean.
• 2006-2007: Visiting lecturer (Presidential Decree 407/1980) at the Department of History, Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management, University of the Peloponnese.
• 2008-2010: Teaching at the Department of Graphic Design of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Technological Educational Institution (TEI) of Athens.

IV. Research Experience - Participation in Excavations
• 1994-2005: Participation in many excavations and study-seasons of Byzantine pottery in Crete (Eleutherna, Monastiraki, Chrysokamino, Ayios Nikolaos, Pseira, Itanos, Zakros) and in the Peloponnese (ancient Messene).
• 2002-2005: Participation in two European research programmes.
• December 2006 - July 2007: Scientific collaborator to the program: 'Historical Geography of the Greek Region' of the Institute for Byzantine Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation.

V. Participation in International Scientific Meetings - Lectures
• Participation, with presentation of papers, in 10 international scientific meetings (congresses, symposia, scientific meetings and conferences).
• 4 lectures given at Universities and Museums.
