A. Bousdroukis was born in Volos in 1970. He graduated in 1992 from the Department of History and Archaeology, at the University of Ioannina. He studied History and Archaeology of the Hellenistic, Roman and Arsacid Orient at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, IVe section, Sciences Historiques et Philologiques, Paris, where he obtained his Ph.D. in 2004. He obtained a scholarship from the National Foundation of Scholarships (I.Κ.Υ.) in the History of the Hellenistic Period and a scholarship from the A.G. Leventis Foundation. Since 2004-2005 he is teaching Ancient Greek History and Historical Geography in the Department of Cultural Heritage Management and New Technologies at the University of Ioannina, as Teaching Fellow (407/80). Since 2009 he is a researcher at the KERA/NHRF, as a member of the Hellenic East Program.

Research interests
Hellenistic History; History and Institutions of the Seleucid Kingdom; History and Institutions of the Parthian Empire; Greek Epigraphy from the Near and Middle East; Historical Geography of the Near and the Middle East.
