Ch. Papageorgiadou was born in Athens in 1958. She graduated from the History and Archaeology Department of the Philosophical School of Athens University in 1980 and obtained her Ph.D from the same University in 1987. She has worked at Papyros-Larousse-Britannica, and the Epigraphic and Numismatic Museum. Since 1985 she is a researcher at KERA.
She participated, as scientific coordinator, in joint research programs and has organized conferences on numismatic subjects.

Research interests

Numismatics and coin circulation; ancient, especially Roman, economic history.
