D1. DOCUMENTING THE POLITICAL AND SOCIAL HISTORY OF THE 20th CENTURY

Programme objectives:

This research project constitutes the main body of the Political and Social History Section, and its objective is the systematic collection of documentation material dealing with the political and social history of the 20th century, with its main aims being the creation of comprehensive and scientifically exploitable data banks, as well as the historical study of periods, events and individual phenomena and problems.
This Programme includes the following individual projects and documentation actions: a) The Research Project ''Documenting the Events of November 1973'' (Leonidas Kallivretakis), b) Examination of various aspects of the 1967-1974 dictatorship (Leonidas Kallivretakis), and c) Creation of an archive of Greek (and Greek related) political cartoons (Katerina Dede).
