Research Interests

My current research focuses on the synthesis of novel bioactive molecules and new organometallic functional materials:

• Stilbene derivatives with neuroprotecting activity
• Ferrocene-based near-infrared dyes

We have also initiated projects in the area of dendrimer chemistry, including the synthesis and study of organometallic dendrimeric near-infrared dyes with applications for the photodynamic therapy of cancer and in the design and synthesis of dendritic compounds as neuroprotective agents.
