RESEARCH AND TEACHING APPOINTMENTS

MAIN RESEARCH INTERESTS
Quantum effects at the nanoscale, molecular engines, interaction of radiation with  atomic and molecular systems (organic/inorganic) at the nanoscale, tailoring the functionalities of nanoparticles, e.g. control over the  size and the symmetry of nanocrystals during growth or phase transitions, energy flow at the nanoscale and at interfaces, EMF coherent interactions,.

EXTERNAL FUNDING
Scientific coordinator of 13 European and 6 National research projects.

CONFERENCES AND INVITED TALKS
Participating at 129 international conferences, 21 invited talks at international conferences.

TEACHING ACTIVITIES
Teaching assistant at the Victorian University of Manchester, UK (1980-1983). Teaching Professor at the Postgraduate School of Josef Stefan Institute, Slovenia (2006-). Supervision of 5 post-graduate students (4 Ph.D. and  1 Master Thesis), 6 honor students.
