Nonlinear optical properties (SHG) of thermally poled glasses, and corona poled polymers and hybrid materials.
Characterization of these materials by spectroscopy (Optical, infrared, Raman, NMR), property-structure correlation, assessment of poling induced structural changes.
Interaction of glassy matrices with radiation: characterization of intrinsic and extrinsic defects by optical and EPR spectroscopy, photo-ionization of polyvalent dopants.
Property-structure correlation and assessment of the near and medium range structure of (Fluoride)-phosphate and (Boro-)silicate glass systems by spectroscopy (Optical, infrared and Raman, NMR, EPR spectroscopy).
