Special Educational Events Programme ''Science in Society''
The NHRF, in its effort to transmit scientific
knowledge both to young scientists as well as to
the wider public, has for a number of years organised
Special Educational Events which take the form of
lecture cycles. The themes for these cycles are
chosen mainly in relation to the research programmes
of the Institutes of the NHRF and a large number
of the talks are undertaken by researchers of the
Institutes. The transcribed texts of these lectures
are available in books.
At the same time, within the framework of the ''SCIENCE IN SOCIETY'' programme, funded by EPET II, which aims
at the opening of science to the general public
and its familiarisation with scientific developments
and the research which is carried out in the country's
Research Centres, through systematic and ''live''
information - the NHRF has produced six scientific
documentaries on video. These aim to present and
publicise part of the scientific programmes carried
out in its Institutes. See more
