The development of stable, biocompatible nanodispersions suitable for use as carriers for the encapsulation of bioactive compounds is an emerging technology whose application is rapidly expanding across various fields, such as food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
In particular, in the area of new drug and nutraceutical development, improving the efficacy of already known bioactive molecules through the use of novel pharmaceutical formulations that enable targeted delivery and are based on nanotechnology is a highly significant field.
Encapsulation of bioactive substances in nanodispersions allows their “protection” throughout their pathway toward the target cell.
