Open science

At TPCI, we are strongly committed to advancing Open Science practices that foster transparency, accessibility, and reproducibility in research. Our approach includes publishing scientific results in open access journals and sharing preprints in open repositories to promote rapid and broad dissemination of knowledge. This commitment is clearly reflected in our growing statistics: in 2021, 48% of our publications were Open Access, a figure that significantly increased to 65% in 2024.

Our diverse research activities generate extensive experimental and computational data. When we find it appropriate and in compliance with confidentiality agreements, such datasets, preprints, and technical reports are deposited in the Helios data repository of NHRF and other open repositories, providing broad and easy access to these valuable resources.

We strongly encourage our research staff to adhere to open access policies and implement FAIR data principles—making data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable—to maximize the scientific impact and collaborative potential of our work. Through these efforts, TPCI supports a vibrant, inclusive scientific community and contributes to the global advancement of knowledge in chemistry and materials science.
