Invited Talk in Quantum Technologies at the International Conference SPIE Photonics Europe 2026

Dr. Christos Riziotis, Director of Research, participated as Invited Speaker at the International Conference SPIE Photonics Europe 2026 (Strasbourg 12-16 April 2026). Within the framework of the main event, the Quantum Technologies 2026 Conference was also organized, dedicated to modern quantum technologies, and held in parallel with the celebration of World Quantum Day on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.

On the same day, Dr. C. Riziotis delivered the invited talk entitled “Hybrid Integrated Scalable Circuits in Silica with Embedded Quantum Emitters”, presenting the novel technology of quantum emitters’ integration in photonic integrated circuits, together with recent experimental results towards the implementation of quantum computers and ultrasensitive quantum sensing devices. The underlying technology has been exclusively developed at NHRF and has recently been patented, with relevant patent awards and applications:
