Research

Since its foundation, the Section of Greek and Roman Antiquity brought new vitality to Greek historiography, consistently remaining at the forefront of international historical research. It has engaged in dialogue and collaboration with institutions from around the world, staying informed about developments, trends, and new methodologies that are constantly enriching the historian’s arsenal. The research activities of the Section cover a wide range of fields, from the study and publication of primary sources -both written and material evidence- to historical synthesis, and from fieldwork and museum work to the use of new technologies.
