ICB is unique in Greece in pharmaceutical research using an integrated approach that includes all stages of drug discovery (structural biology, design, synthesis, biological evaluation in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo, development of nanocarriers for their effective administration) combined with translational research (collaboration with clinicians, biomarkers, big data analysis). Similar experimental approaches are carried out on natural substances regarding their action on well-being, as well as on diseases related to aging.
