Open science

The IHR fully adopts the paradigm of Open Science and actively participates in the formulation and adoption of Open Science policies by the NHRF (through the NHRF Open Data Committee) and by the Greek scientific community in general (through the National Initiative for Open Science of which the NHRF is a member), especially regarding open access publications. More specifically, the IIE pioneered the reorganization of the NHRF’s institutional repository, Helios, where all scientific publications of the Institute’s members are deposited, with free access to the full text where feasible based on the policy of the respective publishers. The Institute’s three scientific journals, as well as the majority of the research websites and e-books that have been created within the framework of projects executed by the Institute, are also open access.
