Protection and exploitation of intellectual property

The NHRF recognizes that the exploitation of research results and the capitalization of the Foundation’s intangible assets are extremely important components and, therefore, ensures the protection, promotion, and exploitation of its research results.

To achieve this goal, the NHRF has adopted and regularly updates the necessary mechanisms to support researchers in protecting their inventions through patents. At the same time, the Foundation encourages the conclusion of patent licensing agreements and technology transfer agreements with companies, as well as the creation of spin-off companies.

All technology transfer procedures, particularly with regard to the research output of the two positive Institutes (ICB and TPCI), are implemented with complete professionalism based on international practices and under conditions of absolute transparency. Similarly, the publishing activities of the Institute of Historical Research are governed by the intellectual property rights policy, which is included in the NHRF Technology Transfer Regulations available on the Foundation’s intranet.
