Research

The research conducted by the Section of Byzantine Research, structured into different Research Areas, focuses on the study of various aspects of the Byzantine Empire from its foundation to its fall, as well as on the Latin dominions in Greece from the 13th to the 17th century. The outcomes of this research are reflected in the Section’s websites, publications, and scholarly journal.
