Through an interdisciplinary approach that incorporates Latin archival documents alongside evidence from Greek manuscripts, the studies conducted within the framework of the project seek to reconstruct the profiles of scholars, priests, and scribes active during the 14th and 15th centuries in Latin-dominated regions of Greece, such as Venetian-occupied Crete, as well as in Italy.
