Byzantine Literary Sources for the History and Civilization of Arabs and Arabia

The project is implemented in collaboration with the King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives and provides for a) the cataloguing of sources on the history, prosopography and relations between Byzantium and Arabs (politics, diplomacy, war, society, economy, daily life, material culture) and b) the recording and annotation of the information in an open-access electronic database (https://arabyzlis.eie.gr/databaserecords/). As part of the project an International Workshop was held on October 8 and 9, 2021, Arabs and Arabia in Byzantine Literary Sources. The Workshop proceedings are in the process of being finalized for publication: M. Leontsini, N.
