The staff of the Section of Greek and Roman Antiquity includes 15 researchers. Specifically, in addition to the Section Coordinator, a Director of Research, the department includes five Directors of Research, eight Senior Researchers – among whom Lina Mendoni has served for extended periods in government positions and, since 2019, has been the Minister of Culture – and one Functional Researcher.

The Section also employs a variable number of associates who support the needs of specific ongoing projects.
