Dissemination of scientific knowledge

The dissemination of scientific knowledge is a core mission of TPCI. We aim to share the Institute’s scientific and technological achievements with both the scientific community and society at large. TPCI is strongly committed to the dissemination of its research results and the promotion of science to the public. To this end, a number of structured activities are undertaken:

• Annual Scientific Report: Each year, the scientific and technological output of the staff is compiled by research area, presented at the Institute’s General Assembly, and published on the TPCI website. This comprehensive report includes journal articles, conference contributions, invited seminars, and MSc/PhD theses. All editions of the annual report can be found in the relevant section of the website under “Publications”.
• Visibility & Recognition: Highlights of the Institute’s achievements and distinctions are featured on the website. Noteworthy successes are also promoted through the Newsletter, following internal evaluation by the Scientific Council and the Director, enhancing the visibility of outstanding research.
• Weekly Seminars: TPCI hosts internal and external researchers in weekly seminars, fostering scientific dialogue and collaboration across disciplines and institutions. The seminars are announced in the “Events” section of both the TPCI and NHRF websites. They are open to the public and are held either on-site or in hybrid mode.
• Public Outreach & Education: TPCI actively engages in outreach through participation in the European Researcher’s Night, the NHRF’s “Open Doors” science initiative, and guided lab visits for high school students—bringing science closer to young people and the general public.
• Exhibitions & Industry Engagement: The Institute also presents its research and innovations at major national and international exhibitions, helping to bridge science, industry, and society.
• Training & Mentoring: TPCI plays a vital role in mentoring young scientists through its support for undergraduate trainees, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers.

Through this multi-faceted approach, TPCI promotes excellence, transparency, and public engagement with science, helping build a culture of innovation and scientific awareness in Greece and beyond.
