The Director of TPCI is elected for a 4-year term and is responsible for the overall operation of the Institute, the preparation and submission of the TPCI research and development plan to the Board of Directors of NHRF and for preparing a plan for the annual budget of the Institute. In case of absence of the Director, the Deputy Director of TPCI, is responsible for managing current affairs.
The Director is assisted by the Scientific Council of the Institute (SCI) whose members are elected every two years by the TPCI personnel. The SCI monitors the Institute’s research and development program, contributes to shaping the strategy, organization chart and human resources policy, evaluates the research work of the Institute and contributes substantially to its evaluation process.
An International Scientific Advisory Board (ISAB) offers valuable advice for the widening of the mission, the goals and the organization of TPCI. The ISAB comprises five internationally recognized scientists in the fields of Chemistry and Physical Chemistry of Materials, Theoretical and Computational Chemistry and Materials Science, and Photonics.
Meetings of the general assembly of the TPCI permanent staff are held ideally every 6 months.
Administrative support is provided by one permanent secretary and one additional administrator for grant management support paid by the budget of TPCI.
