The aim of this project is to map the overseas migration from Arcadia to North America from the late 19th century to the Second World War, in order to analyze the economic causes and social conditions that drove this movement, and to trace, as far as possible, the geographical and occupational trajectories of the migrants. The project places special emphasis on the region of Tegea and applies analytical tools from microhistory and diaspora studies. At the end of the project, a digital exhibition of archival materials on the overseas migration of Arcadians will be developed.
