INNOVATION-EL

The “National Infrastructure for Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials, and Micro-/Nanoelectronics” (INNOVATION.EL) is an open-access infrastructure that meets the needs of nanoscience, nanotechnology, nanoelectronics, and engineering sciences, contributing to sustainable and long-term development in Greece and Europe.

The goal of INNOVATION.EL is to promote interdisciplinary research and support technological innovation in selected Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) such as Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials, Photonics, and Micro-/Nanoelectronics. Both the scope and the technologies represented by this Infrastructure are fully aligned with all the main pillars of the National Smart Specialization Strategy 2014–2020 (RIS3).

By offering an effective access and service policy through a geographically distributed network of advanced technology infrastructures—staffed by highly trained scientific personnel—in the fields of material synthesis and chemical modification/characterization and modeling, micro/nano-fabrication, and device/system development, INNOVATION.EL provides the necessary tools to scientists and engineers from academia, industry, and the public sector to achieve scientific excellence and develop knowledge-intensive products.
