Institute of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, National Hellenic Research Foundation

2003-present: Special Functional Scientist C'
Institute of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, National Hellenic Research Foundation

Responsible for the reliable operation of the two NMR spectrometers of the Institute, AC - 300 and MSL - 400 MHz for liquid and solid phase samples. Acquisition and processing of 1D- and 2D- experiments in liquid and solid phase.

Research Activities

  • Conformational analysis of bioactive peptidomimetic molecules using Nuclear
Magnetic Resonance''. Use of 1D and 2D NMR experiments in combination with Molecular Graphics in order to specify the bioactive conformation of antihypertensive drugs.
  • Design and development of a new software to support the complicated
certification process of Reference Materials through the recording and statistical processing of the laboratory measurements. The final version is freely distributed through NHRF's website: http://www.eie.gr/iopc/softcrm/index.html
  • Study of the authenticity of food or beverage products as virgin olive oil or traditional spirits using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.
