This archive aims to record and document Greek political cartoons, as well as international Greek-related ones. For this purpose, an Access database was created in 2006. It is based on the international standards of similar works abroad, and will include, besides the digitized cartoon, the following fields: Cartoonist information (name, pseudonym, signature), date of first appearance, publication information (newspaper or magazine, title of publication, issue number, page, position, dimensions, black-white or colour), other publications, persons depicted (from left to right), caption, subject, keywords, as well as a field for remarks.
The political cartoons of the 20th century will be recorded on the basis of subject areas, starting from the cartoons published in Greece and abroad during the period 1967-1974.
