Since 1996, the Institute of Historical Research (Section of Neohellenic Research) has been organising an annual lecture dedicated to the memory of one of the founders of the NHRF, the historian C. Th. Dimaras, to whom we owe the establishment of modern Greek studies as a discipline and, in particular, the study of the modern Greek Enlightenment. This prestigious event brings together internationally renowned historians, who are invited to speak on topics related to the Enlightenment and other important issues in European history and literature. The texts of the “C. Th. Dimaras Lecture” are published in an elegantly designed series in the language in which they are delivered, accompanied by a translation in Greek. They are available from the online history-bookstore of the IHR/NHRF, where you can also find the complete series catalogue.
