CLOSEDissemination of scientific knowledge
Beyond the production of high-quality research, one of the declared aims of the Institute of Historical Research (IHR) is the training of pupils, students, teachers, and young scholars, as well as the dissemination of the historical research produced within the National Hellenic Research Foundation for the benefit of both the scholarly community and society at large. In this direction, the IHR has long undertaken a wide range of educational initiatives—postgraduate programs in collaboration with universities, summer schools, tutorials, training seminars, etc.—and regularly organizes, either independently or in cooperation with other research institutions, numerous academic events, ranging from lectures and workshops to symposia and conferences.
In particular, the Section of Neohellenic Research organizes the annual “Hermoupolis Seminars”, the monthly seminar “Hermes the Scholar”, and numerous events (conferences, lectures, workshops, exhibitions) for both scientific and specialized audiences, as well as the general public.
