Η οικονομική και κοινωνική διείσδυση Ρωμαίων και Ιταλιωτών στην Ανατολή

Στόχος του έργου είναι η μελέτη της μετακίνησης ιδιωτών Ρωμαίων και Ιταλών στην Ανατολή με οικονομικά κίνητρα από τον 3ο αι. π.Χ. και εξής. Η έρευνα χωρίζεται σε δύο τομείς, στη μελέτη μεμονωμένων ατόμων και στη μελέτη των κατά τόπους συλλογικοτήτων Ρωμαίων και Ιταλών. Με βάση γραμματειακές κι επιγραφικές πηγές, αλλά και αρχαιολογικά δεδομένα, διερευνώνται οι πρώτες προσεγγίσεις τους με τις ελληνικές πόλεις, οι οικονομικές δραστηριότητές τους και η σταδιακή διείσδυσή τους στις τοπικές κοινωνίες.
