Raman spectra recorded on a confocal micro-Raman spectrometer at the backscattering geometry, in steps of 0.5 ìm from the anode to the cathode region of a thermally poled sodium-aluminophosphate glass. Spectral changes are observed after poling within a thin layer of ca. 2.5 ìm under the anode, in good agreement with the detection of nonlinear optical response in this layer by SHG measurements.
