From early on, the formerly independent research centers of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF)—and, since 2014, the unified Institute of Historical Research (IHR)—recognized the importance of information technology in strengthening the research and training carried out at the Foundation, and expanded dynamically into the field of the so-called digital humanities. In this section, all the numerous digital tools, websites, repositories, etc., that have been developed by the Sectionn of Byzantine research within the IHR/NHRF over the past decades are brought together.
