Mount Athos Studies Laboratory
The Mount Athos Studies Laboratory of the Institute of Historical Research focuses on the systematic study, documentation, and publication of primary sources from Mount Athos, ranging from archival documents and inscriptions to manuscripts and early printed books. Special emphasis is placed on scholarly documentation, the use of digital tools, and the dissemination of research results to a wider audience.

Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence & Historical Research
The Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence & Historical Research aims at the exchange and dissemination of know-how regarding the uses of AI tools in historical research and education, with an emphasis on the study and processing of texts, sources, images, and artifacts. It also focuses on the creation of protocols and the formulation of good practices for training in the use of AI tools in historiography, and for their responsible use in the humanities and specifically in history.

Digital Historical Cartography Laboratory
The Laboratory of Digital Historical Cartography aims to produce original thematic maps—initially in digital form—on which historical information from diverse sources is rendered in a documented, comprehensible, and aesthetically engaging manner. The maps cover the entire chronological spectrum of Greek history.
